How Tax Credits Work

The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program is the primary financial tool allowing developers to build affordable housing in the U.S.—3+ million units. In the second session of OCDCA’s six-part Affordable Housing 101 Series, Roy Lowenstein of Lowenstein Development will provide a background, summary of the rules, OHFA priorities and processes to develop tax credit housing, with a focus on the 9% program. OCDCA is responding to member demand for this training series, so ample time will be allowed for questions.
