The Inflation Reduction Act: Implications for Private-Sector Initiatives

A video livestream will be available on this page starting at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 27th. Please scroll down to view.

Growing health care costs, including drugs, have led to increased interest in the government rather than the private sector controlling costs. This panel will focus on private-sector efforts to control costs and how the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is likely to affect these efforts, including developing new treatments, data-driven health management, and payer and pharmacy management. The panelists all work in private companies with the aim of simultaneously reducing costs and improving health.

AEI’s Kirsten Axelsen will host this panel of experts to discuss how the IRA might affect the private industry’s ability to reduce costs and improve quality and access.
