Researcher and author Richard Kahlenberg, who studies the intersection of public schools and housing options, is coming to Columbus to talk about ideas to solve the housing crisis by building more inclusive communities in Central Ohio.

Join us on Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at CCAD's Canzani Center to hear Kahlenberg talk about his book, "Excluded." He will be joined by panelists Kumi Walker and Doug Ulman, Columbus residents who grew up together in Columbia, MD, a city designed to resist segregation.

Through heartfelt accounts of families excluded from economic and social opportunity as they are hemmed in through “new redlining” that limits the type of housing that can be built, Kahlenberg vividly illustrates why America has a housing crisis. He also offers steps each of us can take to be part of the solution.

Franklin County Treasurer Cheryl Brooks Sullivan will make an introduction and 10TV's Tracy Townsend will moderate the conversation. Former Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman will also appear.
