The recently released 2023 Annual Homeless Assessment Report found that 650,000 people were experiencing homelessness on a single night in January 2023, a 12 percent increase from 2022. In this virtual talk, Jeff Olivet, Executive Director of the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), will discuss key findings from the report, which provides an annual snapshot of the number of individuals in shelters, temporary housing, and in unsheltered settings. Following his remarks, Beth Horwitz, Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at All Chicago Making Homelessness History, will offer a ground-level perspective on the report’s key findings. This event will be moderated by Dr. Howard Koh, Harvey V. Fineberg Professor of the Practice of Public Health Leadership at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
