Dr. Camara Jones is a well-known Public Health figure especially in regards to naming, measuring, addressing and recognizing health disparities and racism to achieve health equity and eliminate “race”-associated health disparities.  

Columbus Public Health has invited Dr. Camara Jones to engage with professionals from health care and allied health and care sectors to not only understand the importance of naming racism in public health, but to discuss how to address racism to achieve health equity.  She will illustrate the intersectionality of health equity and institutional racism in access to care.


At the end of the session, participants will:

  • Delineate the importance of naming racism in public health

  • Discuss how to address racism to achieve health equity

  • Illustrate the intersectionality of health equity and institutional racism in access to care

Parking: Park in the Outpatient Care Center Garage (ORANGE PARKING GARAGE) which is directly on the right as you pull in the loop. Exit the Garage on the 1st floor and follow the orange line into the Outpatient Care Center (OCC) Building.
 
Drop off (Uber/taxi): Make sure your driver understands the entrance you need is on the 18th St side. From loop entrance, enter into the Outpatient Care Center (OCC) Lobby.
